The New World Symphony has sold out its September 29 season-preview concert, to be led by conductor Alasdair Neale, which features five Debussy Preludes orchestrated by Colin Matthews. The preludes featured include: Les collines d'Anacapri, Bruyères, La danse de Puck, La fille aux cheveux de lin, and Le vent dans la plaine.
Matthews was commissioned by the Hallé Orchestra (Manchester, England) to orchestrate a number of Debussy’s beloved piano pieces, which were then premiered over several seasons from 2003 to 2007.
