Alvin Singleton Composer-in-Residence in Albania
Alvin Singleton takes up the position of Composer-in-Residence at the Fine Arts Academy in Tirana, Albania this month. The Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television and the Orchestra of Opera and Ballet perform the Albanian premieres of a selection of the composer's orchestral works.

Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at the Boston Symphony Orchestra
The Boston Symphony Orchestra, under conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, present three performances in November of Carl Orff's epic work Carmina Burana for mixed chorus, children's chorus, solo voices and orchestra. The Tanglewood Festival Chorus, PALS Chilrden's Chorus, Sequentia: Ensemble for Medieval Music and vocal soloists Norah Amsellem, William Ferguson and Christian Gerhaher round out the performing forces.
