Composer note

This work was inspired by Einstein's theory of quantum light - the idea that light exists as tiny particles, or photons. Musically the instruments weave their individual lines to create one whole, as the individual photons combine to make light. The idea of organum singing where a core melody is shadowed in consonant intervals was another inspiration.
