CommissionThe chamber version of A Trip to the Moon was commissioned by Hamburgische Staatsoper, then revised for Garsington Opera in 2024. The original version was commissioned by Stiftung Berliner Philharmoniker, London Symphony Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic Association within a series of commissions of children’s operas led by Sir Simon Rattle and Simon Halsey.
